CivicTally is a Massachusetts civic technology company. We build approachable, affordable software that helps cities and towns serve residents, improve transparency, and coordinate essential operations.
It started with a snowstorm.
During the blizzard of 2026, cleanup stalled across Fall River, Massachusetts. Residents couldn’t tell which streets had been plowed, and public teams were flooded with calls and social media posts asking the same questions.
A simple tool followed: a map where residents could share the status of their streets, and where authorized staff could mark streets as verified. It answered a practical local question — what’s actually happening on my street? — without hardware, app downloads, or a long procurement.
That experience shaped everything since. Small and mid-sized municipalities have the same need for clear, accessible public information as large cities, but rarely the budget or staff for enterprise software. CivicTally exists to close that gap.
